Dear Mr. Powell:

We are pleased to inform you that the Voter Collaboration Group (“VCG”) of the All Indian Pueblo Council, the New Mexico Indian Gaming Association, the New Mexico Native American Petroleum Coalition, and the New Mexico Tribal Tax Advisory Coalition recommended endorsement of your candidacy for State Land Commissioner.  The All Indian Pueblo Council at a Special Meeting on October 11, 2010 adopted the VCG recommendation and has endorsed your candidacy.

This landmark collaboration among our four organizations represents a voting block of 60,000 Native Americans in New Mexico.  The 2010 election is the fourth election cycle that the Voter Collaboration Group has worked to assist tribal leaders make informed decisions on which candidates to endorse and support.  

We have communicated this endorsement to each individual tribe and have encouraged them to support your candidacy and, in addition have urged support from their members and business enterprise employees on November 2nd.  

Please continue to contact individual tribes for support as well.
