On June 1, I was elected the Democratic nominee for State Land Commissioner!

I’m very excited and grateful for this opportunity and honor.

I commend my fellow democratic opponents for running strong and effective campaigns. I ask for their help and that of their supporters. We must take back the State Land Office!There are so many to thank—my wife Jean and our entire family, our wonderful network of friends, dedicated community leaders, my campaign team, and our many tireless volunteers.

I passionately believe in what we can do at the Land Office-the innovation and jobs we can create, supporting our public schools, returning accountability, transparency, and high ethical standards, while taking care of our irreplaceable public lands.

In order to do these important things I ask for your continued help and support. I can only succeed if you continue to help me.

There is no question that the fight will get tougher now. My republican opponent will try to raise thousands of dollars from special interests, which is why I’m counting on your help today.
